Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon – Tyne and Wear – MJH292

MJ Health is currently seeking a Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon for our well-established independent client based in North East England.

Role: Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Animal Type: Small animals

Shifts/Rota: Part time, 27 hours per week

• 2 x 10 hour days – Wednesday and Thursday
• 1 x 7 hour day – Either Monday or Friday

Weekends: 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 3.5 hours consults only

Out of Hours: No

Duties: A mix between operating and consulting, with their main focus on leading and mentoring the veterinary team.  Discussing cases, outcomes and assisting in theatre where required.  This position would suit someone wanting to take the next step up, mentoring and supporting the veterinary team without taking on any of the managerial / clerical side of a senior vet post. Offering a great work/life balance.

Facilities: Well equipped practice including digital x-ray, fully equipped operating theatre and in house laboratory facilities

Team: Currently a 2 vet team, supported by 3 RVN’s, 4 SVN’s (all soon to qualify), and reception / ANA team

Development: Extremely supportive of staff training and actively encourage all aspects of CPD, supporting certificates, further clinical skills and areas of interest

Salary Offered: Starting Salary £65k pro rata
