MJ Health is currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice in West Sussex.

This could be a great next step for someone who enjoys keeping a busy clinic running smoothly, supporting colleagues and is keen to develop their leadership skills. Working alongside the Head Veterinary Nurse, you’ll help coordinate the day-to-day running of the nursing team, ensuring the practice runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of patient care

The Role

• Full-time, Monday – Friday. 8.5 hour shifts.
• Some weekend and night duties as part of the rota.
• Work alongside the Head Veterinary Nurse to coordinate the day-to-day running of the nursing team and clinical floor.
• Lead by example, supporting colleagues and maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
• Deliver exceptional patient care, including anaesthesia, surgical nursing, inpatient care and nurse consultations.
• Help organise workflow, prioritise workload and ensure the smooth running of a busy hospital environment.
• Support the development of the nursing team through coaching, mentoring and sharing your knowledge.
• Deputise for the Head Veterinary Nurse when required and contribute to the ongoing development of nursing protocols and standards.
