MJ Health is currently seeking a Permanent Head Nurse for our well-established client based in Southampton.

Overview

• Salary: DOE
• Animal type: Small Animal
• Shift times: 4-day week schedule
• Out of hours: None
• Weekends: 1 in 4 weekend rotation (Saturday & Sunday)
• Team size: 7 RVNs, 2 students, 1 VCA

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the direct line manager for 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 2 students, and 1 Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)
• Provide hands-on clinical care while leading and supporting the nursing team
• Work closely with the Head Vet and Client Experience Manager to ensure smooth surgery operations
• Drive the development and progression of the nursing team
• Joint responsibility for surgery management, including coordinating schedules, workflow, and patient care
